❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Eventopia and how our platform works.

What is Eventopia?

Eventopia is a ticketing platform that helps local event organizers, promoters, and communities. It lets people sell tickets, grow their audience, and earn rewards (called credits) every time they sell tickets.

How does the Eventopia credit system work?

Every time a ticket is sold: The organizer earns £0.50 credit. If the organizer was referred by someone (a Guru), that person also earns £0.50. The event's assigned Account Manager also earns £0.50. These credits are given 24 hours after the event ends and can be spent in the Credit Shop.

Can I turn credits into real money?

No, you can't cash them out. But if you're on the Elite Plan, you may be able to convert a portion of your credits into real rewards or sales through special deals (like with alcohol brands).

What can I buy with credits?

You can spend your credits in the Credit Shop on: Venue hire, Ad campaigns (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.), Better tools for running events (like email marketing or branded pages), Elite subscriptions, and Discounts on partner services.

How do subscriptions work?

You can choose to stay on the Free Plan, or upgrade to Pro or Elite. Pro gives you faster payouts and extra tools. Elite gives full access, better support, and special bonuses like waived fees or discounts. You can pay for subscriptions using credit or real money.

What is the Charity Pot?

A portion of Eventopia's profits goes into a pot to help small promoters or local artists fund their events. If you're an Elite subscriber, you get priority access when applying for this help.

How do I create an event?

Sign up, go to your dashboard, and click "Create Event." You'll be guided through the process. Your event must be approved by an Account Manager before it goes live.

What fees do you charge?

Eventopia charges a small booking fee per ticket. Here's the breakdown: £1.85 for tickets under £6, £2.25 for tickets from £6 to £30, £3.50 for tickets from £30 to £100, £4.25 for tickets over £100. These fees help cover costs and fund the credit system.

When do I get paid?

If you're on the Free Plan, you'll be paid 5–15 days after your event. If you're on Pro or Elite, you'll be paid within 24 hours of your event.

Can I give refunds?

Yes. You can manage refunds from your dashboard. You'll set your refund policy when you create your event so ticket buyers know what to expect.

Is Eventopia safe?

Yes. All payments go through a secure system called Noda. We check every event before it goes live and only send credits after events actually happen. This helps prevent fraud.
